This is the extent of our preparation. I have been in confinement for 5months and 26 days, going out of my mind listening to mostly old rock music and watching old movies, because it’s the only entertainment available that’s not connected to a network. All this to insure nobody else’s DNA ends up piggy backing on me when I attempt to pass the security scanners in the tunnels. All the planning hinged on this one ,critical, meticulously planned ….guess!

EVI was the future no, IS the future. This is way bigger than Mela, WAAY bigger than everyone in the team, at least that’s what everyone tells themselves to try and help themselves deal with a VERY real possibility of death. It doesn’t help, that mixture of fear and dread that was souring Melas’ stomach right now. She felt a little like the bad dream she had about her parents and the pain that it caused her , was contributing to her mood. Instead of the feeling of relief and peace, Melia felt herself growing more distant from everyone else. It wasn’t a big deal though. Her team was still her team. Or at least most of them. Everyone else had more time. All the other teams could wait a bit longer. But everything hinged on Mela and her teammates . A new day would come. And depending on how today went, the future would possibly have a different narrative.

Well that’s enough self pity and doubt , I better get myself up and ready to finally take the next step…!
