Writing Can Ease Our Own Pain and Maybe One Other Persons

That might be enough.

Do you believe that when you put your butt in a chair to write something that it might, just might, resonate with someone or ease someone else’s pain?

I think many writers do. I do.

That is one motivation for sitting down to write…or to create something.

Even if one person resonates or gets something out of our work it IS WORTH IT.

I have a friend Barb who loves my work. She has collected all of my books and is the one person I think about when I write.

I really don’t need a lot more.

I’m easy.

I know that my ‘inner voice’ also likes to hear what I have to say. So, there are TWO voices I am writing for! ha-ha.

I love the vulnerability in her writing.

It reminded me of the importance of keeping the ‘why’ in the front of our brain when we write.

Writing to help ourselves AND possibly one other person really is a noble thing. That’s a fine reason. A fine motivation to get your fingers moving and butt in the chair.

I believe its fine having our own tiny slice of the writing pie.

I know others might be grabbing for big slices but I don’t mind a tiny piece, honestly. (Plus its better for our diets!)

Oh, I just thought of another person I write for.
