Collective Introspection

Sometimes you find yourself feeling very new
Those days tend to seem a little blue
But that’s magick screaming at you
To embrace the humility behind your rues

Inspect your mind for the colourful signs
Let the message be heard from in between the lines
Did you ever pause to undermine
The evidence of what’s hidden in your mind?

We are all brothers and sisters
Of this sinister race of blisters
Scarring the face of the earth with clusters
Of burns and bruises from bloodshed and fear

Will we ever discover an invention
If we cannot understand the mission?
Do we see how the World’s in submission
To our greedy and needy transgressions?

Take the time to settle down

To take a spin on the merry go round

Absorb the delicate dance of the grouse

The spiralling scrutiny of the mouse

Our Mother’s cries can be heard aloud

When we listen without making a sound

Are we naive or ridiculously stout

To not decipher her screams even now?

Pretending like we don’t know how?

Like it’s alright to take a baby from a cow

To take the forests and expose the crying howls

From the devastation made for our crowd

There’s no intention nor interest to be helpful

Our minds are ever so doubtful

Of the race of humans seeking humanity

But going about their lives insanely

Our tongues don’t stop and our bellies are full

Yet, there is love for making our horrid tools

To stuff ourselves with more, more and more

Won’t our bodies ever get bored?

There’s so much to introspect from within

So much clairvoyance to have for the win

Much less hate going out into the world

Much more love coming into the universe
