Modern Ethics and Morality P. 1

Let me start off with this murder is wrong correct? But when we send people to another country have them kill people who live there and are defending it we praise murderers. Where do we draw the morality line where is one evil and one not. Modern Morality and ethics, this is not a Christian paper. I am not pointing out filth in the streets. I am not pointing out homelessness in the United States. I am talking about the United States. What if I told you someone broke into your home murdered your father, possibly the rest of your family and then left. But they were not arrested, no instead the were given medals and congratulated by the president and held in high esteem for his actions. Then on top of that if they were disrespected or insulted the person who said wrong to them was hated. This is the morals of war.

The morals of war if there is such a thing it was once said “History is written by the victors” -Winston Churchill. This is to say that history and who is morally right is written by those who win. So look back on the truth, see who really was morally correct or in the end was anyone ever morally right. To emphasize this I will go back to the crusades.

During the crusades Jerusalem was fought over by the Muslims and the Christians. Now the Muslims had taken it yes, but those who were attempting to take it back had never even been there before. They mass slaughtered for a land they had never even known to be their own. The Muslims killed over it yes but that was a conflict that was raging on for centuries. Then people who had no need to involve themselves assumed it was someone whom they had no proof of existence to go do that which they claimed was demanded of them.

Go forward to the Revolutionary War, a large group of people angry at the country that owned the land they were on attacked them and stole the land. We murdered them then threatened them with the possibility of death simply to forward our will. We claimed all were equal yet kept slaves. We said lies so we could further our own will.

Then go to the conflicts with the Native Americans we killed them and took their land. But many will say wait that is not correct they killed us and tried to take land. Maybe but it is the same thing as the crusades what rights did we have to step foot on their land and proceed to take it from them. None but we did it anyway, then we later said they were in the wrong. They killed those who broke into their homes and killed their families. In that situation you would do the exact same thing.

Now forward to the Vietnam War. It was a war within a country we had not right to go there and attack people. We went in we fought and we killed. But it was not our fight. But once we realized that we left and we had vietnamese on our side. Once we left they were slaughtered and that was our fault.

Now go forward to the Afghanistan War we went in and killed many people over a hunch that Osama was there. Then we killed people for defending their faith and country. Many will state that this is incorrect that we did this due to 9/11. But in the end the truth is we shall believe what we wish the truth is not the truth. The truth is what we see feel or our own opinions. The truth is never true and no one knows the truth. Nothing is true yet everything is true, in this infinite expanse of life and this universe many things are false. Are any morals real or they are own false beliefs. Morals are something that we have made up in our own mind. So is anything morally correct or not. Maybe but maybe not we may never truly know nor understand.

I have a theory that our Universe infinitely has repeated continuously if I am correct any morally upright decision that is ever made does not matter. Morals are a construct we create to question our own humanity to attempt to claim we are more than animals. Such is religions a construct to deal with our fear of our own mortality but it really does not matter. So is it morally correct or incorrect or are our morals the same as our religions a crutch to deal with our problems. History is truly written by the victors. But in the end history is written by fear, and the true rulers are the weak, the afraid.
